    2012 Mid-Season Review Empty 2012 Mid-Season Review

Post by SyrcsePride Thu Apr 12, 2012 4:12 pm

An assessment from a few Dwho managers about the first half of the season. Thanks for contributing fellas.

    Dolphins

Your 1st half offensive MVP: Reggie Bush
Your 1st half defensive MVP: Cameron Wake
Assessment of your 1st half: Lackluster first half, should be running away with the division but am still in the thick of things.
Key to your 2nd half: These next 3 division games will set me up for a nice playoff run with the stock Dolphins.
    Best Team: N/A
    Worst Team: Texans
Most Surprising Team: Chargers, putting people away with Josh Johnson and he’s not even running with him. Surprised KE has such a good record.
Most Disappointing Team: HA needs to get it together.
    Super Bowl prediction: Miami Dolphins

    Bills

Your 1st half offensive MVP: Maurice Jones-Drew
Your 1st half defensive MVP: Derek Cox
Assessment of your 1st half: Extremely disappointing. Defense was getting killed due to terrible pass coverage and offense was clicking with inconsistent o-line play. Made a few trades and things are starting to click. It’s too late to salvage this season but we’re set up for a strong 2013.
Key to your 2nd half: Continue improving on the processes in place this year and hopefully fall backwards into a top 5 pick.
    Best Team: Browns
    Worst Team: Texans
Most Surprising Team: Jets. Pack has amassed more wins this year than he did in the last 7 seasons.
Most Disappointing Team: Saints. Thought they would challenge for the division with that stacked team.
Super Bowl prediction: Browns over Bears

    Patriots

Your 1st half offensive MVP: Rob Gron
    kowski
Your 1st half defensive MVP: Pat Chu
    ng
Assessment of your 1st half: Somewhat sat
isfied with room for improvement on defense.
    Key to your 2nd half:
Seal the deal and utilize the chosen one, Hassan McDonald
    .
    Best Team: T
    o
    sh
    Worst Team: WildT
    u
    rkeKiller
    Most Surprising Team: O
    c
    wrestler
    Most Disappointing Team:
    HittinAge
    nda
    Super Bowl prediction:
    Bears over Beng
    als

    Ravens

Your 1st half offensive MVP: Tommy Terrific
Your 1st half defensive MVP: Joe Haden
Assessment of your 1st half: Even worse than I imagined. Absolutely PATHETIC.
Key to your 2nd half: Losing by a respectable margin.
    Best Team: Bengals
    Worst Team: Ravens
    Most Surprising Team: Bears
    Most Disappointing Team: Broncos
Super Bowl prediction: Cleveland Buckeyes 41 - Green Bay Packers 38, MVP = Joe Haden

    Steelers

Your 1st half offensive MVP: T Taylor QB Raiders
Your 1st half defensive MVP: D.J. Williams Denver
Assessment of your 1st half: Some unbalanced divisions, good pace, some odd stat lines. Activity seems solid. Bounties and pod casts are great additions.
Key to your 2nd half: To be back before draft.
    Best Team: Bengals
    Worst Team: Texans
    Most Surprising Team: Bears
    Most Disappointing Team: Patriots
Super Bowl prediction: Bengals vs Seahawks

    Colts

Your 1st half offensive MVP: A good defense
Your 1st half defensive MVP: Crushed velvet butt plug
Assessment of your 1st half: I’m back in the league that I missed so dearly. Clearly I’m not yet ready to take on the big boys in Madden but I’m hoping through practice and a lack of gag reflex I’ll get there.
Key to your 2nd half: Try to overtake Knugs for the division. He and I have a side bet going. Loser gets fisted by gwaffle.
Best Team: Ravens, because HA is the only person who can satisfy my aching loins. My toes curl thinking of his frail frame and drooping bean bags.
Worst Team: Falcons, he uses his teeth…a lot.
Most Surprising Team: I’ll have to say Cardinals. I remember how much King sucked in the last league.
Most Disappointing Team: Saints, this isn’t the coach that I remember. Maybe he needs to make 19 more trades.
Super Bowl prediction: Guy with no life vs. guy with even less of a life.

    Texans

Your 1st half offensive MVP: C-Chris Meyers - he has anchored my rebuilt offensive line that by the end of the year will have let 3 different running backs gain more than 100 yards (Arian Foster, Chris Ivory, and Michael Turner (hopefully))
Your 1st half defensive MVP: LB - Brian Cushing - he's just been really good all year...sacks, ints, forced fumbles...he's been everywhere
Assessment of your 1st half: Turbulent...a lot of new faces in Houston, and a new owner, still getting my feet my wet.
Key to your 2nd half: Just trying to get better on the sticks, I think I have built a solid team, my offensive line is really good, my defensive line is on the verge of being really good...my LBs are great...i'm deep at WR....i just want to get a few W's and build towards next season
    Best Team: Cleveland Browns
    Worst Team: Houston Texans
    Most Surprising Team: Chicago Bears
Most Disappointing Team: Atlanta Falcons (FUGL)
Super Bowl prediction: Cleveland Browns over New York Giants

    Titans

Your 1st half offensive MVP: adrian peterson
Your 1st half defensive MVP: alterraun verner
Assessment of your 1st half: we suck and need to improve our interior offensive line and draft a franchise qb
Key to your 2nd half: get a good draft pick
Best Team: not sure, just got here but SFRanger beasted me
Worst Team: atm i'd say me
Most Surprising Team: OC @ 9-0, i knew he was good but damn!
Most Disappointing Team: zuke @ 3-6, thought he'd do better with the iggles
Super Bowl prediction: OC vs sunshine

    Lions

Your 1st half offensive MVP: Calvin Johnson
Your 1st half defensive MVP: None
Assessment of your 1st half: Injuries have plagued the Lions so far this season after losing starting QB Matt Stafford for the rest of the regular season with a broken collarbone.
Key to your 2nd half: Finish. Out of 5 losses, 3 have been by less than 5 points. Stay healthy on defense. OJ Atogwe has been out for a few weeks but he has just returned and the defense needs to step it up.
    Best Team: Bengals
    Worst Team: Texans
    Most Surprising Team: Cardinals
    Most Disappointing Team: Bills
Super Bowl prediction: Bengals 20 - Bears 17

    Vikings

Your 1st half offensive MVP: Jake Locker...When he struggles the team is terrible..
Your 1st half defensive MVP: Osi Umenyiora...11 Sacks 2 Forced Fumbles and an int...nuff said...
Assessment of your 1st half: We have a solid defense, but we need to focus on not giving up the big plays. There were a couple games where nothing went right, and then there was a game against the Rams where nothing went right, and we rallied to beat them after going down by a large margin.
Key to your 2nd half: Not giving up big plays on defense, and staying creative with the blitz packages. My offense is usually fantastic, so it's the defense that needs some work.
Best Team: Sunshine1327's Bears...That's a game where absolutely nothing went right. He's absolutely dominant with them.
Worst Team: G Waffle...I mean he's on track for the perfect season nobody wants.
Most Surprising Team: OC's Bengals....He's undefeated....He's on a mean streak right now.
Most Disappointing Team: LethanNtention's Patriots...4-5 when you started out with that roster? I mean really?
Super Bowl prediction: T-Stroh Vs Sun AKA Browns Vs Bears

    Saints

Your 1st half offensive MVP: Marques Colston
Your 1st half defensive MVP: Jonathan Vilma
Assessment of your 1st half: "We Stink"
Key to your 2nd half: Cut down on turnovers, my team is a turnover machine
    Best Team: Cincinnati Bengals
    Worst Team: Houston Texans
    Most Surprising Team: Chicago Bears
    Most Disappointing Team: Buffalo Bills
Super Bowl prediction: Cincinnati Bengals vs Green Bay Packers

    Bucs

Your 1st half offensive MVP: LG Carl Nicks
Your 1st half defensive MVP: MLB Curry Donaldson
Assessment of your 1st half: It's been a roller-coaster ride. The Bucs either show up ready to play or everybody out there is chasing butterflies.
Key to your 2nd half: Sticking to pre-determined gameplans. Utilizing strengths. Balanced attack.
    Best Team: Cincinnati Bengals
Worst Team: Just going by record I spose the Houston Texans. Gabbert wishes he was throwing to Andre Johnson.
Most Surprising Team: The Oakland Raiders come out on all cylinders.
Most Disappointing Team: The New Orleans Saints. Drew Brees knows his team can do better and hopes next season they will be over their growing pains.
Super Bowl prediction: KC Chiefs 31 GB Pack 42

    Seahawks
Your 1st half offensive MVP: Skittles Marshawn Lynch
Your 1st half defensive MVP: Jonathan "Thank you Waffle" Joesph
Assessment of your 1st half: Rollercoaster Beating Tosh, but losing 3 games
Key to your 2nd half: Colin Kapernick getting better, and getting sackes less.
    Best Team: Why not Myself
Worst Team: Waffle traded AJ and Joesph and not paying off
Most Surprising Team: Jets Pack in playoff hunt
Most Disappointing Team: Bottom 3 teams in NFC south
Super Bowl Prediction: Seahawks over Bengals

    49ers

Your 1st half offensive MVP: Roddy White
Your 1st half defensive MVP: Patrick Willis
Assessment of your 1st half: I love my team but I suck
Key to your 2nd half: keep losing so i will have a good draft pick
    Best Team: Bears
    Worst Team: Texans
    Most Surprising Team: Cards
    Most Disappointing Team: 49ers
Super Bowl prediction: Browns vs Bears (Browns win)

    Rams

Your 1st half offensive MVP: Pretty hard to say, have had a balanced running attack with SJax and the rookie Potts, and Bradford has put up decent numbers but would give it to Rookie WR DeMikael Augustus who is 2nd in the league in TD receptions with 10 as of this point.
Your 1st half defensive MVP: Rookie Kelcy Graham is 2nd on the team in tackles but has yet to make many big plays with only 1 sack and 1 INT. The strength of the Rams D has definelty been the D-line and would give the honor to Kendall Langford who has played DT and recorded 9 sacks 3 FF so far.
Assessment of your 1st half: Team has been a lot more competitive than I expected them to be this season and despite our current 4-6 record still have hopes of sneaking into playoffs somehow. Had a couple games that could have gone either way with a play or two in our favor.
Key to your 2nd half: The 2nd half is going to be a real tough stretch with the likes of Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Tampa and the Giants all remaining on the schedule. Definitely have to play good smart football from here on out.
    Best Team: Bengals
    Worst Team: Texans
    Most Surprising Team: Colts
    Most Disappointing Team: Falcons
Super Bowl prediction: Easy choice: Bengals vs Bears so I'll go out on a limb

    Cardinals

Your 1st half offensive MVP: WR Dial
Your 1st half defensive MVP: DT Holmes
Assessment of your 1st half: We started off pretty slow but we have been picking up steam in hopes for a playoff spot.
Key to your 2nd half: Ball control and capitalizing on opponent mistakes.
    Best Team: Bengals
    Worst Team: Texans
    Most Surprising Team: Cardinals
    Most Disappointing Team: Bills
Super Bowl prediction: Bengals and Bears with Bengals winning in a close game.
