Off-season Moves:
TE - J.Graham + 2nd Round Pick (N.O)
for
RT - T.Williams + TE - N.Paul + 1st Round Pick (PIT)
A shocking trade to say the least. The Saints trade within their own division a superstar to rivals Tamps Buccaneers. While some experts are scratching their heads, Coach Ross has assured us there is a method to his madness. Saints fans wont have to wait long to see Jimmy Graham in a Buccs uni as the two teams face eachother in week 2!
1st Round Pick (N.O) + FS Black + 1st Round Pick (PIT)
for
WR - C.Johnson Jr. + 3rd Round Pick (PIT)
A huge trade again coming at the expense of the Saints organization, this time landing THE Calvin Johnson Jr. from the Steelers. Although he did not come cheap, the Saints organization has to be thrilled to have a big superstar WR on their roster to be the clear #1. Calvin Johnson Jr. steps into a Saints team that is already pass heavy and should look to continue and add to their already awesome pass attack.
News and Notes:
LT - J.Otah has moved from LT to RT to accommodate the addition of RT T.Williams.
Saints current starting LB's age: Muses - 23 , Ferguson - 22, Joyner - 22
FS - T.Jackson is trying to re-write his career with a fresh start in New Orleans.Had 1 Tackle and 1 Sack in his 1st preseason game as a Saint.

Week 1 Preview:
VS.
Two power-house NFC teams match up to kick off the NFL season. The New York Giants look to continue their success over the New Orleans Saints as they try and maintain their perfect record and make it 5-0 over the last 5 meetings. Both teams finished last season 12-4 with the Giants beating the Saints early on in the season. Despite an inspiring 2nd half effort the Saints came up short in a game that was nothing less than exciting. Both teams posses a lot of talent on both sides of the ball which makes it hard to change the channel this Sunday.
Each team has made huge off-season moves and have made it clear that its superbowl or nothing this year. New faces include:
RT - T.Williams
TE - N.Paul
WR - C.Johnson Jr.
RB - T.Woods
FS - T.Jackson
HB - S.Moorhouse
WR - S.Hill
CB - P.Peterson
CB - S.Routt
LOLB - S.Phillips
Players to look out for:
QB - E.Pongi - Won the superbowl in his rookie season, can he regain his superbowl form? We say yes.
RB - J.Hampton - This kid has put up 3 1,000 yard + seasons out of 5, just had his best season of his career last season gaining 1,322 yards and 13 TD's. Look for him to match that again this season.
WR - C.Johnson Jr. - The superstar WR the Saints have been waiting for has finally arrived. Can he live up to his hype? 5,000 + passing yards last season for the saints, CJ Jr will see plenty of footballs thrown his way.
TE - T.Matulis - This former Michigan State star finally gets his chance to show fans and the NFL what he really has. Living behind the shadow of Jimmy Graham can Matulis emerge as another vertical TE threat? Kid has 26 TD's in 3 seasons.
MLB - B.Ferguson - He is the reigning DROTY. Recorded a team high 87 tackles adding 6 sacks , 4 interceptions, 4 forced fumbles, and 1 TD. He was playing next to 2 great veteran LB's that have since retired, can his play stay true to form?
Well that's all folks! Thanks for reading and stay tuned for next weeks edition.
