If suspensions are enforced any player that is suspended may not appear on your teams depth chart or be subbed in at any position until the suspension period is over.
There are two ways we can determine how suspensions will be enforced in DWHO. If vote of yes passes, another vote to determine which manner of suspension will be used
Option A. Â DWHO Start Date- Â Whenever the DWHO start date is. Â Any player suspended as of that day will have to face that same suspension in DWHO. Â All players suspended indefinitely will miss 1 DWHO season, unless overturned by the NFL.
example: Tom Brady, if no decision is made in his appeal hearing as of the start of the DWHO league year Mr. Brady will be eligible to play in DWHO week 1 and for the rest of the season.
Option B. Real Time NFL Suspensions - If an NFL player gets suspended week 6 of this NFL season for four games that player, even if we are in year 2; week 12. Â Would have to miss four Dwho games. Currently suspended players will also be subject to suspension as in option A.
Suspensions would not go into affect until the NFL appeals process is concluded. Â Depending on when in the DWHO season the suspension occurs the team owner may choose not to wait for the appeal and begin the player serving their suspension immediately or continue to use the suspended player until NFL appeals process is complete.
Option B would add a bit of unpredictability and realism that Madden has yet to. Suspensions can happen at any time during the NFL season and now in DWHO aswell.  Think of the feeling you would have when your player  or your rivals player , gets picked up on DUI charges and is forced to miss games. Awesome addition to DWHO, IMOÂ
Additionally, as DWHO usually runs for just about 1 NFL season this would cover almost the entirety of our DWHO franchise.
example: Aldon Smith one of the top DWHO FA's, is on the market b/c of his behavior issues. Â Pick him up season one or two and you may have an All-Pro pass rusher that leads you to the playoffs. But if or when Goodell passes down his suspension, he could just be a dead spot on your roster. Â
Â
Will you err on the side of caution, or risk it all and sign every talented convict, ALA Jerry Jones ? The choice is yours
