49ers Update
The San Francisco 49ers struggled through a disappointing 7-9 season in 2013. Ownership felt that the team needed to go in a new direction. The organization has decided to "go young." With many key players needing to re-sign for the 2015 season the 49ers signed several players including: Colin Kaepernick, Mike Iupati, Alex Boone, and Jonathan Baldwin. However, not all were able to re-sign, unfortunately Aldon Smith wanted 85.8 mil over 6 years which the organization could not come up with so he was dealt to Jacksonville for a pair of 1st Rd draft picks, a 3rd rd pick, WR Cecil Shorts III, and CB Jeremy Harris. CB Chris Culliver was dealt to the Cincinnati Bengals for a pair of 2nd rd picks and a 4th rd pick. The organization wishes both players well and are excited about the opportunity to acquire young talented players through the draft. The 49ers rounded out their roster by signing two Free Agents: MLB Mason Foster and C Mike Gibson (who brought his Cardinals playbook with him, lol)[Only admins are allowed to see this image]
