Trades will have to be approved by 3 person trade office

But Head up this not likley since it would give Pats 3 1st round picks

Just food for thought... Now that the trades are all tracked on the console, can we remove the old rule on the limit? Jets or Skins in the last 10 years have had 4 or 5 in the 1st..lol. Look what it did for them..lol.

That is amazing value for the Pats in the deal. Talk about overpaying for a player you want! Hats off to the Rams for stepping up to the table with the picks.

Hell I would have traded Hernandez for that and I am a pretty big fan of the guy b/c of M12..lol. I don't think TE's are as open on M13. Well I am hoping not seeing how he will be a RAM..lol.

    Good stuff fellas.

I'm not sure just know last year rule was 2 1st max it wasn't becouse of having to puase it was cuase last time we didn't have a limit a team ended up with 6 1st round picks

We'll talk about limit but not sure it'll get changed

Since Im involved in the trade I'll just input my thoughts on why he is the only person I was able to find to trade with.

I had lots of offers for hernandez. However, because we are only allowing 1 player 1 trade I couldn't find anyone willing or me accepting a player that fit his overall. I myself don't need two stud TE's, and in my scheme Hernandez is sitting on the bench. (I like Gronk more due to his run blocking). Lurchy has a need at that position and to be honest he may have a good deal. Ov is going to be good, and I have a feeling lurchy is a good player. Those 2 1sts are most likley mid to late picks.

This is good value for me and good value for St.Louis. Also Pats like to accumulate 1st round picks. During this first season where only 1 individual can be traded maybe we can be more flexible on the draft picks? My team improved due to this trade and I can say lurchy's has improved. Value will be decided where the draft picks fall at the end of season 1.

    Thanks for considering,

I am most liberal when it comes to trades and my opinion doesnt matter...but when the only way you can overpay is draft picks..all in....the draft is always a gamble first time around

I understand the purpose of the rule in past years, however getting 1st rd picks this year will be costly. Youre gonna lose talent, get hit with cap penalty and run the risk of drafting a bust. There wont be any draft excel sheets like in the past. Changes the whole game IMO.

I'm not on trade Commititee so my vote doesn't count

Almost no cap hit on Hern since they have his rookie deal

Have seen 88 ovr TE's in 2 drafts off line

So its possible that the Patriots coul get a younger taller faster TE,Another 80+ rookie, then possibly another 80 after that with their own 1st

and the Patriots are not exactly in Dire need of More talent

And yes I know draft is diff and he might not get that but he could

In my view it be more easier to wave the 3 first round pick rule if the team getting 3 1st wasn't trading a backup/player they could spare and wasn't already a top 3 team in madden

I'm saying this as the guy that doesn't want the Pats to get better. Denying the deal because the league doesnt want that to happen is ok. But if its because his team is already great is a different story to me. Shouldnt handcuff him because he got the Pats. With that said "he's not winning my div anyway" LOL

I wouldnt call Hern a back up. He is an 89 ovr 22 year old TE. You dont find many of those with his skill set.

so your going to penalize me for having 2 stud TE'S. He is a starter on everyother team then the Pats. his is an 89 speed te who is like 89-93 overall. He is cheap and young. IRL Pats wouldn't trade me for less because they have GRON.

Last year the Eagles made a killing in madden leagues trading one of the 3 cb's they had.

I mean Hern is also 80 for me as a 4th wr. He would be used on my team in those 2 te packages and wide sets.

Hern is worth this deal.....and the draft makes this a huge gamble. I don't knpw who the studs are and I need to scout, get lucky in order to maximize his deal....and I would need ov and lurchy to stink which i don't think will happen.

just my input on this trade i was trade commish before and just dont have time to do it now but in my opinion this trade is kinda dumb bc simple fact is yes hern is worth something but hern isnt worth 2 1st round picks also when the rams have a decent young te there already. Simpley in my opinion only 2 tes in the game worthy of a 1st are te davis and te gronk but that is just me. I have not experimented with the draft much to know what kind of overalls you get in the draft but 2 1st for a te i think someone getting a killer value there

Two #1s is a ridiculous price to pay for ANY player imo. I'm not a big fan of allowing an unproven rookie owner to trade away the future of the franchise either.
