Here is a Breakdown of the MVP Race As Far As This Forecast is Concerned....
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers): What else is there to say except that he torched the league by the looks of his stat line leading his team into the playoffs. He threw for nearly 50 tds and over 6000 yards, but did turn the ball over.
Why not Rodgers? Can you really throw for 200 more attempts than some of the other candidates and win the mvp?
Stats: 341/512 attempts 6013 yards 49 touchdowns 32 interceptions
Quarterback Tom Brady (Kansas City Chiefs): The "Golden Boy" was dealt in the offseason and Kansas City could not have been happier. His TD/INT ratio is fantastic at 40/18 while having close to two hundred less attempts than Rodgers.
Why not Tom? Well because for the last portion of the season the General Manager was absent from his team hurting the QBs chances
Stats: 216/317 attempts 4791 yards 40 touchdowns/18 interceptions
Quarterback Josh Johnson (San Diego Chargers): Whenever you bench a perennial pro bowler as a relative unknown it is pretty impressive. Plus in the lowest attempts out of the candidates he still had 40 tds.
Why not Josh? Well the only thing I can think of is that he might not even be the best quarterback in terms of statistics and importance in the division. And is he a guy that nobody gameplanned against? Well the league better get to know him
Stats: 172/293 attempts 3532 yards 40 touchdowns/17 interceptions
Quarterback Matt Flynn (Washington Redskins): Another offseason acquisition that seemed to be a big payoff. He led his team to a division title all while putting up impressive stats in a run first team.
Why not Flynn? Well it was a rushing team with Helu having an unbelievably high workload that may have opened up the passing game a bit. We are unsure who helped who more, but it doesnt help when you have a back putting up those numbers.
Stats: 181/305 attemptes 3718 yards 34 touchdowns 16 interceptions
Halfback Beanie Wells (Cleveland Browns): The OHIO STATE BUCKEYES team came together to have a winning campaign reminiscent of the college teams record in recent years. He was able to find the endzone several times while Colt McCoy shouldered the load at quarterback, meaning without Beanie who knows where this team is.
Why not Beanie? His numbers are not as great as some of the top rushers in the league, including Matt Forte who was on a team that had an identical record to the Browns. Take him off the team and where are the Browns is the question?
Stats: 286 carries 1609 yards 23 touchdowns
