I used DL a lot in my games. I use power, swim, and spin. I would even switch the view to max soon on DL. It is fun...
I only played other positions for setup type plays when I think I know what's coming.

How is that similar to not mixing up playcalls??? Lol
Good luck guessing my plays. I don't even know my call in most cases until a split second into seeing the options.
I could user the guy standing on the sidelines every play and still be more sim than some playcalls by other teams.
When man was a lock... I avoided it like the plague.
When trap was an easy 5-7 yards you would be lucky to see me call twice a game.
Playing de, dt, lb, cb, or s every other play means nothing when teams call the high percentage garbage most of the plays.
Mix up plays...
Mix up moves a DL or coverage as lb or db...
Guys will be happy and even say congrats on a good win.
Play money calls at any position offense or defense and guys catch on to it and call it out.

don't think this is a sim or non sim issue. I think he meant to say its boring playing someone who is usering the dline every down.

I agree with Rush on a lot of what he's saying. I guess I don't understand why someone who plays DL is getting called out over a guy who users S or LB every down.
I get the whole idea of switching up who you user, and in the long run this would make everyone better overall, but some guys prefer to user certain guys.
I will be the first to admit that in my case, I've tried to user LB and I'm absolutely terrible at it, so I mostly stick to the DL.
And I never thought that this would be considered the same as calling the same play every down, but maybe that's me being naive.
