You're Number 1 Source for all Chiefs news and updates!

Welcome folks to another promising season as Dwho kicks off its fourth season! The 2015 season came to an abrupt end for the Chiefs as they suffered a Wildcard playoff loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Owner Jared Ross was furious and cleaned house, firing 3 year head Coach Andy Reid and his staff. When asked about the firing coach Reid had this to say: " We came into the season with goals and expectations. We were able to accomplish some of the expectations but didn't come close to achieving the ultimate goal we had set for ourselves. Knowing that, I'm not shocked about the decision, its been a good run in KC".

Coach Reid wasn't the only one asked to leave the team, several high caliber players were excused from team meetings earlier, indicating that they would no longer be members of the team.

Week 1 Recap: Oakland Raiders @ KC
    Final Score: 0-35

The Chiefs enter 2016 with a chip on their shoulders. New head coach , new players , new attitude , how will it translate to the field? How about a 35-0 shutout victory in front of a sell out home crowd in your 1st ever game? Well that's the case for two members of the KC Chiefs. First year Head Coach T.Single and Rookie QB sensation C.Mosley did everything and more to earn the respect of the home crowd and put KC back on the radar.

With some many different faces on the roster this season, many fans were worried the team wouldn't have any chemistry to begin the season. People bitched and moaned about how silly it was that the Chiefs overturned a lot of the staff & roster. Loyal fans of SB winning QB T.Bray expressed their displeasure with the organizations decision to draft Mosley by burning a sex doll with the name "Mosley" printed on the forehead in front of the stadium before one of the chiefs home pre-season games.

But NOW, the same fans who were mocking Owner Ross and the rest of the organization are the same fans who are selling out the concession stands after the performance put on by rookie QB C.Mosley week 1 against the Raiders. Here's a recap of both teams stats':

    QB - T.Pryor - (8/24) 55 yards 3 INT's
    QB - C.Mosley - (10/15) 148 yards 4 TD's

Week 2 Recap: New England Patriots @ KC
    Final Score: 0-31

They're aren't many times where you see a shutout in Dwho so when you get one your season should already feel accomplished. Yeah, try telling the KC Chiefs shutouts are rare, because they just got their second one in a row, this time defeating the New England Patriots 31-0. Truth be told, the game wasn't played to its full entirely, but you take what's given to you and move on to the next game.

The Chiefs were coming off a huge high beating their rivals 35-0 but knew they couldn't take the Patriots lightly. The game started off back and forth, both teams testing each other out. QB Mosley was somewhat quite in the passing game but came up with crucial completions when needed. For the second straight game he's also ran the ball on a QB designed run and gotten a TD. The Chiefs were able to capitalize on their drives, scoring TD's on almost every attempt. The stats looked like this:

    QB - N.Vega - (6/11) 92 yards 1 INT
    QB - T.Bray - (1/1) 26 yards
    QB - C.Mosley - (12/16) 165 yards 2 TD's

    HB - S.Ridley - 12 att 65 yards (1 TD*)
    HB - D.Barriere - 4 att 25 yards
    HB - S.Vereen - 16 att 132 yards 1 TD
    HB - C.Chubb - 2 att 8 yards
    QB - C.Mosley - 1 att 28 yards 1 TD
    FB - B.Wilson - 1 att 3 yards

    KC Game Notes:

    LB - J.Houston - 5 Tackles

    DW(Defensive weapon) - D.Moch - 2 Tackles 1 INT

    DT - D.Poe - 3 Tackles 1 Sack (Chiefs 1st of year)

    Total Yards - 175 / 359

^^ I think this speaks more to the rampant obesity and public drunkenness of the KC fans than DP's always stellar play.

Nice write-up!  I'm looking forward to adding at least one more shutout to your 2016 schedule.

    The KC Post Empty Week 3 & 4 . Week 6 Preview

    Post by no1xdraftpck Fri Jan 17, 2014 1:22 am

Week 3 Recap: Chiefs @ Redskins
    Final Score: 30 @ 33

    Total Yards - 434 / 434
    Pass Yards - 256 / 249
    Rush Yards - 178 / 185
    Pass TD's - 1 / 2
    Rush TD's - 3 / 1
    3rd Down % - 33% / 37%
    TO's - 2 / 0

Well all good things must come to an end eventually... That's exactly what happened when the Chiefs traveled to Washington and lost 30 - 33 . Chiefs begin the young season 0-1 on the road, something fans know all too often. The Chiefs lack of production on the road seems to be the Achilles heel of this team. The slow starts on the road is the main reason for concern. Getting down early to opponents of this caliber is not a recipe for success. The Chiefs were forced to play catch - up football most of the game , with a slight opportunity to gain the advantage , ultimately coming up short.

Chiefs rookie QB - C.Mosely had his first career taste of a loud opposing home crowd. He seemed rattled, not himself, and it showed resulting in his first interception of the season. The Redskins had a good gameplan around Mosely. They were able to shutdown his 1st read majority of the time which caused him to take chances with the ball elsewhere. One bright spot of the game: QB - Mosely continues to torch opponents with his blazing speed. Racking up 81 rush yards and 2 TD's. Giving him a career total of 259 yards and 6 TD's in just 4 games.

    Player Spotlight:

    QB - C.Mosely - (14/21) 256 yards 1 TD 1 INT
    QB - R.Griffin III - (14/21) 261 yards 2 TD's

    RB - S.Vereen - 11 att 36 yards
    QB - C.Mosely - 5 att 81 yards 2 TD's
    RB - C.Chubb - 3 att 61 yards 1 TD
    RB - L.Good - 19 att 102 yards 1 TD
    QB - R.Griffin III - 4 att 8 yards
    RB - F.Barclay - 3 att 64 yards
    RB - T.Hickman - 2 att 10 yards

    TE - R.Ambrose - 5 rec 78 yards
    WR - K.Dorsey - 2 rec 39 yards
    TE - D.Carr - 4 rec 64 yards 1 TD
    RB - L.Good - 3 rec 25 yards
    WR - D.Loften - 3 rec 78 yards

It was the first loss of the season , first loss for new head coach , first loss for rookie QB Mosely, but most importantly an opportunity to learn from mistakes. Next week they face another NFC East opponent; the Philadelphia Eagles. Can they shake off this loss and play a more consistent game in Philly. Or will the road atmosphere get to Mosely and the Chiefs?

    ======================================================

Week 4 Recap: Chiefs @ Eagles
    Final Score: 44 @ 27

The Chiefs were anxiously awaiting the new week so that they could move on from their loss a week ago in Washington. Its wonderful how much a team can change in just one week. Going into the game without their starting RB - S.Verren ( lost to injury week 3 ) , some questioned whether they were capable of coming out here with a win. Well those who questioned can just " shud da fuq up " because the Chiefs came into Philly and walked out with a 44 - 27 win.

Coming off a bad week, QB C.Mosely had to shake it off and earn the win for his team. No starting RB meant an opportunity for RB - M.Hickman to earn his 1st career start in the NFL. He made the best of his opportunity grabbing 123 yards and 1 TD. "Hicks, showed some real guts out there. He ran every play hard and finished his runs into tacklers. I liked the amount of effort he showed in this game and with RB S.Vereen still most likely out for week 6's game VS. the Texans Hickman should get the start again." - Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach said after the win.

WR - K.Dorsey stepped up his play, hauling in 5 receptions for 112 yards and 1 TD. QB - C.Mosely was able to spread the ball around hitting targets such as WR K.Britt ( 5 for 76 yards) and TE R.Ambrose (6 for 56 yards).

    Chiefs Defense - 4 Interceptions , 1 Sack

Rookie CB - D.Provost - 1st Career INT (Known for best hands on team)
    ======================================================

    Week 6 Preview: Texans @ Chiefs ( stats as of 1/15 )

    Texans - (2-2)
    Wk1 - 14 @ Jaguars 32
    Wk2 - 22 VS. Arizona 38
    Wk3 - 24 VS. Patriots 17
    Wk4 - 34 @ 49ers 31
    Wk5 - Against Denver

    Team Ranks:
    23.5 points per game (21st)
220.5 pass yards per game (20th)

    Team Leaders:
    QB - R.Gonzalez - (60/108) 993 pass yards 8 TD's 10 INT's
    HB - M.Smith - 48 atts 205 yards
    HB - D.Mileson - 33 atts 127 yards 3 TD's

    WR - L.Fitzgerald - 17 rec 287 yards 1 TD
    WR - A.Johnson - 15 rec 218 yards 3 TD's
    TE - O.Daniels - 14 receptions 266 yards 3 TD's

What Chiefs need to do to win:
    - Secondary must be on their toes facing deadly WR duo (AJ/Fitz)
    - Keep the run game going - (1st in Rush Yards Per Game)
    - Don't beat yourself - Limit the amount of bad decisions you make, and brush off the ones you do.
    - Contain HB - M.Smith early.

    Around The League:(As of 1/15)
    5 Teams left undefeated - 2 most surprising(sort of) Browns & Jets

Interesting off-season for both of these teams. The Browns organization had a shake up in the GM position which led to Tosh overseeing the team. Meanwhile, after finding internal peace and happiness, Zuke was suddenly introduced as the new Jets GM. Fast forward to week 5 of the season and both these owners have found no jet lag taking over their teams. Both are undefeated and can be 5-0 going into week 6. No matter what happens here on out, its a pretty remarkable start considering where these teams were this time last season.
